Virtual Machine SID Error

I was working on adding some machines to my virtual machine test environment today. During the process I came upon the following error, The name or security ID (SID) of the domain specified is inconsistent with the trust information for that domain. What I did to generate this error was create a base Windows 2003 SP1 Server and then cloned it to make a Domain Controller and a Member Server. Upon joining the domain with the member server rebooting and attempting to log into the domain I got the previous error. What I figured out was that the clone kept the SID of the original machine leaving both the DC and the member server with the same SID. In order to resolve this I used two tools from SysInternals, psGetSid (http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/PsGetSid.html) and NewSid (http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/NewSid.html) the first to find the problem and the second to generate a new sid. As a side note created a linked clone in VMWare Workstation 5 and that may have created the problem. I am not sure what would have happened if I would have made a full clone.
